Government Lead Internal Auditor

The City and County of Denver’s Auditor’s Office is seeking seasoned Government Lead Internal Auditors.  Under the general direction of the assigned Audit Supervisor, the Government Lead Internal Auditor executes performance, financial, and/or compliance audits and evaluations of local government functions and activities.  The Government Lead Internal Auditor provides assistance to the Audit Supervisor with work prioritization, assignments, evaluation and quality control over Senior Auditors, Staff Auditors, and Audit Interns.  The position may also conduct various non-audit services.

Community Engagement Specialist

The City and County of Denver Auditor’s Office is seeking a Community Engagement Specialist to work with the Denver Labor Division of the Auditor’s Office. Under the general direction of the Director of Communications, and working with the leaders in Denver Labor. 

  • Knowledge of best practices for online tools including WordPress, social media platforms, SharePoint, and Salesforce. Please include examples in your applicaiton, resume, or cover letter.
  • Fluency in Spanish is required. Please state your fluency level in Spanish in your application, resume, or cover letter.
Reporting Specialist

The Reporting Specialist, one of two for the Auditor’s Office communications team, serves an important role in audit report production, content style, and writing quality. The communications team works with audit teams on writing composition, flow, report format, and presentation. The Reporting Specialist assists and consults with audit teams during the production of audit reports. In the report development stage, the Reporting Specialist may consult on flow, organization, and style of the audit report message outline. As the first reviewer before audit management and executive-level reviews, the Reporting Specialist reviews and edits all draft reports for readability, flow, clarity, spelling, punctuation, style, and grammar. The Reporting Specialist proofs changes to the report throughout the subsequent review stages including after the InDesign report has been created. Then after the audit quality assurance process leading to an approved final report, the Reporting Specialist also performs the final proof of the finished product. The Reporting Specialists may also provide writing training and communications-related professional development to audit staff. The Reporting Specialist also works on officewide special communications projects, including but not limited to informational communications material and news release review.

Government IT Audit Supervisor

The City and County of Denver Auditor’s Office is seeking a Government IT Audit Supervisor.  Under the general direction of the assigned Audit Director, the IT Audit Supervisor will oversee and direct one or more professional IT audit teams responsible for conducting IT and compliance audits, and other studies of City departments, programs and contracts. The Government IT Audit Supervisor will be responsible for leading audit work according to varying approaches in response to department needs. The supervisor will supervise performance, IT, and compliance audits, lead audit team(s), and be responsible for supporting the organization’s vision, goals, and objectives. Responsibilities include planning, directing, and completing business process and internal control review engagements, writing audit reports, and developing and managing staff.
